The Saukenauk Preservation Society established an endowment to ensure Camp Saukenauk will always exist for future generations of scouts and scouters. It is our goal to grow enough funds to provide a “security blanket” for the camp, only to be used in the instance where the property would otherwise be sold. Our goals for the endowment are to grow the fund to $100,000 by 2020 and we feel we will ultimately need $1,000,000 in the fund to ensure the permanent security of Camp Saukenauk.
Hundreds of Boy Scout and Girl Scout camps are being sold each year due to financial difficulties throughout the country. This is a hard reality and the Saukenauk Preservation Society is taking the financial preparations to ensure this doesn’t happen to Camp Saukenauk. Below you will see a table of our progress. Please help us keep Saukenauk safe for future scouts and scouters and consider making a donation to the endowment fund.
